About The Upshot
The Upshot is an email newsletter for people who like the soap opera of sport more than tactical analysis and stage-managed interviews.

We want to inject some (occasionally puerile) humour back into sport, and that struggle is supported by our 20,000 subscribers.

Every Friday we send them a five minute hit of sporting controversy, gossip and drama from the world of British sport. Here's an example of a recent edition.

Posting Schedule

I send The Upshot every Friday at around 7.30am UK time.

For a small monthly subscription you can become an Upshot Gold member, which gets you two extra Upshots per week.

I send these at around 12pm on Monday and 7.30am Wednesday.

Holidays and time off

In future I hope to expand the team at Upshot Towers. But while I am the only employee, I will take the occasional holiday.

There is also no Upshot on UK bank holidays.
